How can I gain school experience with HSLT?

Gaining experience within a school environment is an important first step on your journey to becoming a teacher. At Hope Sentamu Learning Trust, we offer a School Experience Programme (SEP) which aims to give you the opportunity to experience what it is like to teach your subject to secondary school-aged pupils.

We aim to deliver a tailored school experience to meet your needs. We keep the groups of attendees fairly small to allow for your individual questions and to allow us to offer tailored advice on your next steps into teaching, including the application process, advice on personal statements and what to expect during the interview process.

Experience days are held at a range of Hope Sentamu Learning Trust schools and further days within our partner schools may be possible. Hope Sentamu Learning Trust delivers both face-to-face and virtual school experience events.
