The focus of Session 10 will be reviewing the previous ‘Insights’ sessions, colleagues who have presented previously will facilitate discussion in breakout rooms.

When you enter the ‘zoom meeting’ you will be asked which of the following you would like to join before the break out rooms open.

Please ‘rename’ yourself with the Group number. We will share how to do this at the beginning of the session.

Breakout rooms

Group 1: Brian Rock: How to offer stretch and challenge during moments of transition.

Group 2: Alice Ward-Gow: “Multiple Choice Questions and Misconceptions” including:

  • Have you used multiple choice questions (MCQ) as part of online learning?
  • Have you signed up for diagnosticquestions.com ?
  • Have you got any plans to incorporate MCQs into your teaching next year?
  • Alice will also share her use of MCQs as part of online learning, demo diagnosticquestions.com,  talk about her plans for MCQs in Sept.

Group 3: Martin Bell and Gemma Day: Facilitated discussion on the following 2 questions – What might/does metacognition and retrieval practice look like in your classroom? What doesn’t work/what are the pitfalls?
