The best thing about being at Vale of York Academy is the teachers. They have a strong relationship with you. We are a small school in comparison to others and the teachers get to know you really well, what you are good at and what you’re not so good at. They work with you, they care about you and want you to succeed. When you’re disappointed and you wanted to do well, they’re disappointed too.

There’s lots of new things I have learned since I started school, things I never thought I would understand. Through school, they have given us different opportunities, I’ve done the Duke of Edinburgh Award, the Young Enterprise Business Scheme and helped with loads of open days, workshops and activities.
