Over the last two years we have successfully recruited 14 School Direct teachers to teach in our Trust schools. The 14 NQTs started teaching Geography, English, Maths, Science, Drama, Modern Foreign Languages, PE in the York Secondary Schools.
Training to teach doesn’t end when you complete your PGCE. At Hope Sentamu Learning Trust we actively support our training teachers to apply for NQT positions both inside and outside our Hope schools.
We are committed to providing the best start to your career at Hope. We do this through our excellent in school CPD programmes as well as offering a number of Leadership Development opportunities across the Trust.
Opportunities include:
- bespoke coaching and mentoring from an Outstanding Practitioner
- working closely with Specialist Leaders of Education and Schools Leadership Teams
- shadowing best practice across different schools and phases to develop your skills, experience and understanding.
- Participation in the Early Career Framework Pilot with Ambition Institute
