Why coaching?

‘Growing together’ is at the heart of development for Hope Sentamu Learning Trust. We believe that our colleagues are their own best resource, and that empowering and enabling them will enable us to transform the learning communities we serve.

Coaching enables our senior leaders:

  • the time and space to think through the questions they are facing.
  • the opportunity to explore situations and other perspectives so they can have the most impact in their role.

100% of colleagues who took part in 2020/21 would recommend the coaching programme to another colleague or friend.

Coaching partner

We are working with 3D Coaching who focus on teaching and supporting colleagues to develop their  understanding of the core coaching competencies. Their focus is not on imparting knowledge but supporting colleagues to draw on their knowledge of the coaching competencies, to have transformational conversations and transformational impact in their professional setting.

How does it work?

Colleagues have four coaching sessions across the academic year.

Assistant Headteachers, Headteachers, Vice Principals, and Principals.
