Manor CE Academy are looking to appoint a Senior Advanced Teaching Assistant to work within the classroom or appropriate area of the school site to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. The successful candidate will deliver learning activities for a significant number of individual pupils or groups. Activities may also involve assisting in the planning, preparing and delivering of learning activities as well as monitoring pupils, assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development, under the direction of class/subject teacher.
Advanced Teaching Assistants can be required to provide cover supervision for the short-term absence of teaching staff for whole classes. They can be responsible for working within a specific work area, e.g. Pastoral, Behaviour or SEN.
