Over the past three years Ebor Hope Teaching School Alliance (EHTSA) has been successful in gaining equality and diversity funding from the Department for Education (DfE) for several women’s leadership development programmes. Two of these focused on developing the leaders through coaching and the other three were broader development programmes offering an opportunity to hear from guest speakers, learning about the impact of their personality preferences, preparing job applications and honing interview techniques.
Across all of the programmes the impact statistics are incredible with in excess of 70% of the participants stating they had achieved or were actively seeking to achieve a promotion and 90% of the participants reported an increase in confidence as a result of the programme.
Individual case studies make inspiring reading with the participants articulating both personal and professional development, and the empowerment they felt in taking on new challenges. But the legacy of this work is the incredible commitment from the participants to grow and nurture others in their future leadership development.
